Canadian Gift Association (CanGift) is pleased to announce Dwayne McKillop has been chosen as its new President & CEO. In his role, Dwayne will work with the Board of Directors to grow the association’s membership base while placing particular emphasis on strengthening its B2B markets in Toronto and Edmonton.
Dwayne brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His 25+ years of experience includes leadership roles in both the Not for Profit and for profit environments, including 10 years working for the world’s largest producers of trade and consumer shows. He has worked on hundreds of events, both nationally and globally and most recently, Dwayne ran his own firm, producing large events in Southwestern Ontario.
“As we return to in-person events after a 2½ year absence, Dwayne is well equipped to lead the association forward. His strong sales and negotiation skills, combined with his standards for exceptional customer service will serve the association well”, noted Stan Flemming, Chair of CanGift’s Board of Directors. “Having run his own organization, he understands the entrepreneurial spirit, which is the backbone of the gift industry in Canada”, Mr. Flemming added.
Dwayne graduated with a double major in Sports Administration and Commerce from Laurentian University and is deeply involved in amateur sports across Southwestern Ontario.
